Rehabilitation
Upon arrival at AMBH, in the hours/days following the automobile accident or work injury, a doctor will perform an evaluation. If additional tests and studies are required AMBH will set these appointments as necessary. This is the initial documentation phase.
Based on the extent of injury occupational therapy, speech therapy, and cognitive rehabilitation will not be required unless brain trauma or spinal cord issues occur.
Immediately after the accident inflammation will be extensive in the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joint structures. Treatment will be targeted to inflammation reduction using ice/heat, ultrasound, soft tissue therapies, light stretching and exercise. Our medical team may intervene in providing muscle relaxers and pain meds. The goal is to improve overall mobility and posture.
It is especially important to maintain balanced nutrition, hydration, and wellness routines - stress reduction - to support ongoing recovery. Eat a nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory diet.
Weekly Office therapy with check-ups ensures the rehabilitation plan reflects progress or any emerging complications.
Chiropractic Care can only be provided by a licensed chiropractic doctor. This process is crucial in reducing inflammation, alleviating pain, and promoting proper stabilized healing.
